This is a total series that focuses on the greatest characteristics of military gear, "practicality, functionality, and durability," with the motif of the details of the U.S. AIR FORCE nylon flight suit "FLYING SUIT / TYPE K-2A" manufactured in the early 1950s. The material of this series was inspired by the flying suits of the time, and is a completely original product newly developed from thread to structure with the high technical capabilities of Made in Japan. Nylon filaments that are resistant to friction and bending, smooth and glossy, are woven into an Oxford pique style that is high density and lightweight. The surface is treated with a silley finish to give it a unique gloss and firmness. Each item incorporates details seen in military goods of the time, while also being sprinkled with specifications that fit everyday life. The main zipper part has a wire automatic slider with a full-tanned cowhide leather pull, and the other zipper parts have semi-automatic slider pullers with an original PORTER stamp. All models except for the string strap (17043) have an original spec tag with a motif of a woven label that lists the standards for procuring military supplies, and an original insignia "P.Y. AIR FORCE" printed on it, based on the insignia that lists the nationality and unit. The oxygen tab used in the early MA-1 models to secure the oxygen mask cord with a clip has been made into a pocket that can store smartphones, etc. The shoulder straps are sewn with a combination of general parts and tape to unique specifications, and an innovative system has been developed that allows smooth adjustment with one action. ■Patent No. 6698930 / Design No. 1659605 At that time, U.S. AIR FORCE soldiers custom painted their flight jackets and aircraft bodies, thinking of their families, lovers, and hometowns. Inspired by that culture, this series uses two peaceful and charming "PILOT DOG'S" as the original pin-up dogs. This art was commissioned to London-based graphic artist Russell Maurice. All designs come with a tag with a PILOT DOG’S sticker. This wallet is based on the cigarette pocket on the left sleeve of a flight jacket. The zippered pocket, which was once used to hold cigarettes and pens, has been turned into a coin purse, and the two pen holders have been left as they are, with the other one turned into a card pocket. The interior also has multiple card slots, making it compact yet with plenty of storage space. A removable hand strap is included. The shop-exclusive color "Air Force Blue" is based on the color of the flight suit that served as the motif. After many trials and errors, we finally managed to reproduce this calm, deep color. Combined with the glossy nylon filament, it has a unique texture. *Some specifications may differ between the images shown and the product you receive. Please note in advance.
