This is a total series that focuses on the greatest characteristics of military gear, "practicality, functionality, and durability," with the details of the U.S. AIR FORCE nylon flight suit "FLYING SUIT / TYPE K-2A" manufactured in the early 1950s as a motif. Nylon filaments that are resistant to friction and bending, smooth and glossy, are woven into an Oxford pique style that is high density and lightweight. The surface is treated with a silley finish to give it a unique luster and firmness. Each item incorporates details found in military goods of the time, while also being sprinkled with specifications that fit everyday life. The main zipper has a wire automatic slider with a full-tanned cowhide leather pull, and the other zippers have semi-automatic slider pullers with an original PORTER mark. All models except the string strap (17043) have an original spec tag sewn on them, based on the woven label that lists the standards for procuring military supplies, and the original insignia "P.Y. AIR FORCE" is printed on them, based on the insignia that lists the nationality and unit.
