This is a total series that focuses on the greatest characteristics of military gear, "practicality, functionality, and durability," with the motif of the details of the U.S. AIR FORCE nylon flight suit "FLYING SUIT / TYPE K-2A" manufactured in the early 1950s. The material of this series is inspired by the flying suits of the time, and is a completely original product newly developed from thread to structure with the high technical capabilities of Made in Japan. Nylon filaments that are resistant to friction and bending, smooth and glossy, are woven into an Oxford pique style that is high density and lightweight. The surface is treated with a silley finish to give it a unique gloss and firmness. Each item incorporates details seen in military goods of the time, while being sprinkled with specifications that fit everyday life. The main zipper part has a wire automatic slider with a full-tanned cowhide leather pull, and the other zipper parts have semi-automatic slider pullers with PORTER engraved on them. All models except for the string strap (17043) have an original spec tag with a motif of a woven label that lists the standards for procuring military supplies, and an original insignia "P.Y. AIR FORCE" printed on it, based on the insignia that lists the nationality and unit. The oxygen tab used in the early MA-1 models to secure the oxygen mask cord with a clip has been made into a pocket that can store smartphones, etc. The shoulder straps are sewn with a combination of general parts and tape to unique specifications, and an innovative system has been developed that allows smooth adjustment with one action. ■Patent No. 6698930 / Design No. 1659605 At that time, U.S. AIR FORCE soldiers custom painted their flight jackets and aircraft bodies, thinking of their families, lovers, and hometowns. Inspired by that culture, this series uses two peaceful and charming "PILOT DOG'S" as the original pin-up dogs. This art was commissioned to London-based graphic artist Russell Maurice. All models come with a tag with a PILOT DOG’S sticker. This backpack can be used for both daily and travel. The interior of the two front pockets has mesh pockets for further subdivision, and the main layer has a PC storage pocket that can be accessed from the top or side of the main body, making it functional. Both sides have pockets based on the radio pockets of old military bags, and when you open the hook, there is a vinyl pocket for maps and brochures, and a mesh pocket that is convenient for storing folding umbrellas and plastic bottles. The shoulder pads of the backpack are also made of a highly cushioned core material, so you can carry it stress-free for long periods of time. The shop-exclusive color "Air Force Blue" is based on the color of the flight suit of the time that was the motif. After many trial and error attempts to create the color, we finally reproduced this calm, deep color. Combined with the glossy nylon filament, it has a unique texture. *Some specifications may differ between the images shown and the product you receive. Please be aware of this in advance.
