This is an original folding umbrella that we commissioned to be made by Maehara Kouei Shoten, a long-established umbrella manufacturer that represents Japan. The umbrella body has an eight-pillar structure that is highly durable, and the fabric is made of the same nylon twill fabric as the TANKER series. From cutting and sewing the fabric to the frame, each umbrella is carefully crafted by an umbrella craftsman with outstanding skills. An original umbrella bag made by Yoshida Kaban, made of the same fabric as the umbrella, is included. Maehara Kouei Shoten is a long-established umbrella manufacturer that represents Japan, founded in the downtown area of Tokyo in 1948. They continue to focus on Made in Japan, making use of Japanese craftsmanship. Their wonderful umbrellas, such as umbrellas covered with silk or batik fabric, and umbrellas with natural wood handles, are made using sophisticated parts one by one, and are loved by many famous people, including the Imperial family.
