This is an original folding umbrella that we commissioned to be made by Maehara Kouei Shoten, a long-established umbrella manufacturer that represents Japan. The umbrella body features the original camouflage pattern of the PORTER flagship store exclusive "Counter Shade". From cutting and sewing the fabric to the frame, each umbrella is carefully made by skilled craftsmen. The included umbrella bag made of the same material was made by a craftsman at Yoshida & Co., Ltd. *Maehara Kouei Shoten is a long-established umbrella manufacturer that represents Japan and was founded in 1948 in the downtown area of Tokyo, more than half a century ago. We continue to focus on Made in Japan, making use of Japanese craftsmanship. Our wonderful umbrellas, such as umbrellas covered with silk and batik fabrics, and umbrellas with natural wood handles, are made using sophisticated parts one by one, and are loved by many famous people, including the Imperial family.
