"PORTER COUNTER" is an elegant leather accessory series that incorporates the delicate double-stitched details seen on leather dress shoes. The cowhide is tanned with chrome, and then tannins and resins are soaked into the fibers to create a fine finish. It is then flattened and smoothed using a vacuum dryer, and the grain is rubbed and coated with paint and synthetic resin. The leather is glossy and moderately soft, giving it a high-quality and luxurious feel. The interior is made of horse leather used for lining leather shoes. Depending on the model, a two-needle sewing machine used for shoe manufacturing is used for part of the stitching, and fine double stitching is applied. In addition, details unique to leather shoes are incorporated, and the wallet, card case, pen case, and clutch bag are sewn using a sewing method that is based on the dog tail* motif of the heel of leather shoes. Some items have a loop with a double ring sewn on it, reminiscent of the pull loop of boots that you put your finger through when putting on and taking off shoes. *Dog tail is a type of "ichikawa" (stitched leather) in which a piece of leather is sewn onto the heel seam to reinforce it, as pressure is placed on the heel when putting on and taking off shoes. It is called dog tail because its shape resembles a dog's tail.
