The PORTER CAB wallet series is a reimagining of the rugged and hard biker wallet into a softer look. Biker wallets are generally made from a single piece of leather, but this one uses a technique called beta-glue, where two thin pieces of leather are glued together. The stitching is made finer and the cuts are carefully polished to give it an elegant look. The outer and inner tanned leather is tanned only with tannins, and the beta-glue technique gives it strength and firmness. The two pieces of leather are glued together to form a single material, and the beta-glue technique is silver on both sides, so it is thin but strong, firm, and flexible. The cuts are carefully polished after chamfering, and the edges are carefully painted by hand. In addition, the thickness is adjusted by the degree of skiving of the leather, without using core material as much as possible. Fine adjustments are made, such as making the leather thicker in areas where stress is applied and making the edges where the stitches overlap thinner, and you can feel the careful work of Japanese craftsmen. The interior is partially made of genuine leather, and the beautiful contrast between the clear color of the genuine leather and the natural tanned interior is one of its charms. All wallets except the long wallet (02946) with a round zipper have an accordion-shaped storage compartment, which is a feature of biker wallets, and the interior can be seen at a glance, making it easy to take things in and out. The leather closure gives a soft impression and is a design point. The material is domestic Holstein cowhide, which has a finer texture than general cowhide, and has a dense silver surface and is flexible. The more you use it, the deeper the color will become and the more glossy it will become. The pink and yellow are tanned with white tannin to bring out the beautiful color, and are semi-aniline finished to make scratches and blood vessels less noticeable. The chic tones of the black and brown are aniline finished to make the most of the natural transparency of the leather. The interior is made of natural tanned leather, which allows you to fully enjoy the pleasure of aging.
