The raw hides used for the main leather are carefully selected North American steers. After chrome tanning, 3M waterproofing agent is poured into the drum during dyeing to allow the waterproofing agent to penetrate into the leather fibers. The waterproofing agent penetrates deep into the fibers, so it prevents water and oil from penetrating the back and sides of the leather, as well as scratches. A large amount of special waterproofing oil is then permeated into the leather, giving it a supple and soft touch. The surface is also finished to have a fine texture like kip. This is the ultimate soft smooth leather that can only be achieved when the balance of tanning, dyeing, and oil mixing is good. This leather has passed the SCOTCHGARD® monitoring test and is waterproof, oil-resistant, and stain-resistant (it does not easily retain fingerprints). This monitoring test is performed even when the surface is scraped, so the effect does not fade as you use it. The accessory material on the back side is made of MASTERTEX-05 nylon, an original three-layer fabric with a laminated special breathable waterproof film L-Vent® and 420d 66 nylon thread (bright thread) that meets the CORDURA® brand fabric standards. It is highly densely woven to withstand friction, tearing, and abrasion. Compared to regular 420d class fabrics, it is woven with 20% more threads, which increases its strength. The use of bright 66 nylon threads gives it a deep luster. The tape is woven with hollow nylon threads, which is about 20% lighter than regular tape. The lining is made of original jacquard with the master-piece logo. This series incorporates high-quality leather into an outdoor style.
