Serbia is located inland in the central-western part of the Balkan Peninsula and separated from Yugoslavia, a country mainly made up of Southern Slavs that existed until the 1990s.
This time, we are dismantling and reconstructing military supply backpacks that were disposed of by the Serbian army, inviting these unused bags to enter a new stage.
This is a remake bag project that involved dismantling military backpacks one by one, and then bringing together Ink's painstaking, original remake and handmade techniques, as well as the bag manufacturing techniques and ideas that master-piece has cultivated over the years.
The back of the backpack has a urethane core and the fabric has been changed to recycled polyester RENU®️, giving it a firm feel, and we have reused as many of the original parts as possible, such as the tab.
The flap is handmade by ink, recreating a pattern inspired by ethnic patchwork in light and dark denim, and the other uses the bib of overalls from the 50s and 60s trimmed to create two different styles. The flap is not only reversible, but can also be removed and used as a mini shoulder bag. Inside is an inner bag that can be removed and used as an eco bag. The fabric is made of lightweight nylon woven with 70d warp and 160d weft, with a special microporous membrane film (Toray Coatex Breathatec_) laminated on the back and bonded with tricot nylon, giving it a high water repellency and moisture permeability of 8,500g/24hr and a waterproof function with a water pressure resistance of 11,000mm. In addition, the flap parts can be attached to this inner bag, allowing you to enjoy a variety of different styles.
