The main material is made by the only tanner in Japan that has obtained LWG (Leather Working Group) certification. The steer leather is chrome tanned and dyed, and a special chemical is used to apply a tight coat to prevent the grain from floating by rubbing it. The grain is smoothed flat with a binder, and then sprayed with paint to create a beautiful colored leather. The surface is embossed with a kip pattern to give it a well-balanced finish. The accessory leather used in the interior is kip leather, which has a good balance of grain and robustness. It is said to be ideal for making leather accessories, with a high fiber density, suppleness, and flavor. The surface is made of resin, making it scratch-resistant and deep and glossy. All models are designed to allow an IC card to be inserted on the front. *LWG (Leather Working Group) is an international organization that audits tanneries.
