The main body is made of cow shoulder leather from LA BRETAGNA, which has a factory in the Santa Croce region of northern Italy. Conceria La BRETAGNA was founded in 1961 by Sig Testi Giovanni, who has spent 40 years of his career there. In order to pursue high-quality leather production, the company does not mass-produce leather, but instead specializes in shrink leather, which is made by hand by a small number of elite workers. The company is a member of the Italian Tanning Association. The shoulder part of the European raw leather is tanned, dyed, and oiled using vegetable tannins in the traditional "Vacchetta method" that has been handed down in Santa Croce since ancient times. The final finish is a graining process (boranata), which gives each piece of leather a unique look that differs depending on the part. The warm leather ages slowly the more you use it, so you can enjoy the changes over time. Natural vegetable tannins (※) are also said to have antibacterial properties.
