We do not use any pigments, and instead use a lot of dye to bring out the natural texture of the leather, so there may be some color variation. Please note that discoloration cannot be avoided due to the nature of the raw finish. If it gets wet from rain or water, it may cause stains or discoloration, so if it does get wet, please remove the water immediately. It cannot be used for serious outdoor activities such as mountain climbing or rock climbing.
Item Description
The main leather is high-quality domestic steer leather that is over 2.0 mm thick and is chrome tanned and then re-tanned using a large amount of vegetable tannins.
SCOTCHGARD®, a fluorine-free waterproofing agent made by 3M, is a new waterproof material with high water repellency. This SCOTCHGARD® waterproofing agent is added to the drum during the greasing stage after dyeing, and is allowed to penetrate into the leather fibers, achieving waterproofing and stain resistance while maintaining the original texture of the leather.
The waterproofing agent penetrates deep into the fibers, so it continuously prevents water from entering the leather not only on the back and sides, but also through any scratches.
This is a waterproof and stain-resistant leather that passed the 3M SCOTCHGARD® monitoring test. This test is conducted even if the surface is scraped, so the effect will not weaken with use. By tanning with a large amount of vegetable tannin, the leather itself is tightened and has elasticity and firmness. In addition, the transparent semi-aniline finish allows you to enjoy the texture of leather.
