This pen case is part of the dear series by master-piece. The main body is made of cow shoulder leather from LA BRETAGNA, which has a factory in the Santa Croce region of northern Italy. Conceria La BRETAGNA was founded in 1961 by Sig Testi Giovanni, who has been working there for 40 years. In order to pursue the creation of high-quality leather, the company does not mass-produce leather, but instead focuses on hand-made work by a small, elite team. The company is a member of the Italian Tanned Leather Association. The shoulder part of the European rawhide is tanned, dyed, and oiled slowly using vegetable tannins in the traditional "Vacchetta method" that has been handed down in Santa Croce since ancient times. The final finish is a graining process (boranata), which gives the leather a unique look that differs from piece to piece and from part to part. This warm leather ages slowly the more you use it, so you can enjoy the changes over time. Natural vegetable tannins (※) are also said to have antibacterial properties. Antibacterial test method and antibacterial effect JIS L1902:2015 (bacterial liquid absorption method) determined that it has the effect of preventing and suppressing the growth of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus). ※Tannin, catechin, and polyphenol are used as synonyms. In the fields of leather and industry, tannin is used, while in the fields of food, medicine, and cosmetics, tannic acid, catechin, and polyphenol are used, but chemically they are the same. The interior of NO.02800, NO.02801, NO.02802, and NO.02803 is made of brushed nylon, and NO.02800 and NO.02801 are equipped with pockets that block radio waves. The interior of NO.02804, NO.02805, NO.02806, and NO.02807 are made of finely textured pig leather, which gradually develops a natural luster with use.
