Attention
Due to the special dyeing method, the wrinkles, color, and luster of the main fabric may differ. The water-repellent properties will also be lost due to dust and other dirt that adheres to the main fabric. After use, we recommend that you remove dirt by brushing it appropriately and use a commercially available water-repellent spray frequently. *Please use a water-repellent spray that is suitable for the material. When using, please read the precautions carefully and then test spray it on an inconspicuous area. Please wash the sports tenugui for the first time before using it. Due to the characteristics of the fabric, it will shrink slightly when washed. Please handle with care as there is a possibility of color fading. If left wet, the color may bleed or transfer. Please avoid soaking or using detergent containing bleach. Please note that product specifications are subject to change without notice.
Item Description
This is a collaboration series that uses CHAORAS® sports tenugui cloths as bag parts, resulting in unprecedented unique designs.
The shoulder strap is made of a sports hand towel from CHAORAS®, a brand that challenges the idea of Tradition & Innovation, matching the quality of things born from traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern ideas and connecting them to the next generation. This sports hand towel is overlocked to prevent fraying, and has antibacterial and deodorizing properties that are infused into the fabric with "hinokitiol." It is soft to the touch thanks to a special treatment using a natural fabric softener. The size is a long size of 165 cm, specially created for this collaboration. It uses the "vintage bandana pattern" that is also popular with CHAORAS®, and is custom-made and used in colors that are combined with the color of the bag itself.
The fabric is made of bamboo rayon and cotton, and has a stretchy, supple and soft texture. It is highly absorbent and dries quickly, so it will be dry in just an hour on a sunny summer day and can be used again immediately. Its excellent moisture absorption and release properties make it comfortable to the touch and not sticky. The main fabric of the bag is woven with 70d nylon regular yarn for the warp and 160d nylon taslan yarn for the weft. The fabric is dyed using a method called liquid flow dyeing, which creates wrinkles without grabbing the fabric's edges, to create a spun-like, matte luster and unique wrinkled texture, giving it a more cotton-like finish. The surface of the fabric is also treated with a water-repellent finish in the final process.
